Learn to play the ukulele and have fun!

Program: Ukulele Beginner Levels 1 and 2
Schedule: 4 Thursdays March 2, 9, 16, 23
Time: 2:30-4:30PM
Location: Bellingham Senior Center, 315 Halleck St, Bellingham WA 98225
(phone: 360-733-4030)

March classes at the Bellingham Senior Center are open to all levels of players
who are age 50 and older. Our goal is to enjoy life, encourage one another, and
be gentle with ourselves while learning. The first half of each class will be
directed towards true beginners who have never played ukulele before. The
second half will consist of familiar songs played casually. Songs may include
some of the following chords: C, C7, F, G, G7, Am, A7. During the second half of
class, everyone will have the choice of playing along, singing only, strumming
silently, or simply watching.

Sharing of music stands and sheet music is encouraged. Registration is
encouraged, but drop-in attendance is fine, too. If you don’t own a ukulele, a few
instruments will be available for loan during class time on a first-come basis.

2:30-3pm Coffee Cafe Area: pre-class instrument tuning, questions, social chat
3-3:15pm Room 16: set up music stands and seating
3:15-4:30 Room 16: class time
