History

The Bellingham Ukulele Group's founder, Aryn Whitewolf, wanted to share her love of the ukulele with her community. In December 2006, she collaborated with Tom Hodge, local musician, and Ravyn Whitewolf to launch the group. With more than 25 people attending the initial meeting, BUG has grown to the vibrant ukulele community it is today.

The Bellingham Ukulele Orchestra was a group of devoted players originally drawn from the Bellingham Ukulele Group.  Established in 2010 under the direction of Gail MacDonald, the Orchestra played winter and spring concerts that delighted ukulele enthusiasts from near and far.  They played their last concert in December 2019.
